We’ve hit our first milestone.
After months of refining the design, the tech pack is now finalized and we’ve started the backpack sampling process with manufacturers. This means the first physical prototype is being built as we speak.
I’ve attached an early look at the design — front, back, and side views, for you to see how it’s all coming together. A few highlights from what’s been locked in:
Structure that holds its shape
The entire shell uses strong but lightweight EVA foam and PE board inserts—not just in the back panel, but across the top, base, sides, and compartment walls. The bag stands upright and doesn’t collapse when half-empty.
Quick access done right
A hard-shell, thermally-insulated pocket on top for sunglasses, smartphones, earbuds, and even and even temperature-sensitive items like medicines or snacks. Spacious pockets on both sides and front.
Organization that makes sense
Two compartments—one for clothes/gym gear (with an integrated laundry/shoe pocket at the base), and other for tech and documents. Both open flat. To ensure ample space for chargers, earplugs, power banks, mouse, passport, wallet, and everything else, the tech compartment doesn’t have a laptop sleeve.
Wondering where will the laptop go then?
You’re in for a treat. Side access laptop pocket in back panel. Reinforced with super strong and cushiony EVA padding. Suspended above the base so the laptop doesn’t hit the surface if/when backpack is dropped on the floor.
Built to last
840D HT Nylon with PU coating. YKK (the gold standard in zippers) water-resistant zippers on every opening. Zinc alloy hardware. Reinforced stitching at every stress point.
Ergonomic
How much weight you feel when carrying is not just about how much the bag weighs. It’s about how that weight is distributed over your shoulders, back, and hips. That’s why it has S-curved shoulder straps with multi-layer foam. Load lifter straps. A contoured, ventilated back panel. And hip belt attachment points for heavier carries.
I’ll share photos once we receive the first sample—and I’d love your honest feedback when that happens.
